Dropping the hook

Arguably, one of the most entertaining aspect of boating is watching another boat enter your secluded bay and watching them drop an anchor. Most boaters know what to do while an alarming amount are simply very lucky. We generally anchor Le Rigodon in waters no deeper than 15 to 20 feet. I would travel the area we wish to swing in to ensure no obstructions. I then position myself in the centre and my mate drops our danforth anchor. (more…)
